Sweet Slumber
Description
An original contemporary abstract realism piece that speaks in whispers and shadows. Sweet Slumber is a captivating narrative painting featuring a sleeping black cat cradled within an atmospheric world of monochrome greys. Meticulously crafted on a wide 16" x 40" canvas, the composition balances smooth, painterly layers of acrylic over a subtle underlayer of fiber paste, providing a delicate, papery texture without adding heavy bulk. A glowing gold metallic halo arches behind the resting feline, beautifully complemented by striking gold leaf line accents that catch the light along the margins. This serene, mythic artwork explores the quiet, comforting sanctuary of the in-between.
